At O’Neill’s Headquarters, 200 employees are working together in the development, production, sales, marketing and distribution of the collections for the European market across 34 countries.

O’Neill Europe B.V. in Warmond (located near Amsterdam) is looking to recruit a Junior Buyer for our Development Department. Working in a team the Junior Buyer will develop together with designers and technicians innovative, high taste level, high quality, market driven collections and maximize on turnover potential thru in-season flash (& repeat) styles. Focus on procurement related tasks and ensure highest product quality, achievement of profit targets, execution of production and in-time deliveries for relevant product categories.

Responsibilities
• Develop/maintain sourcing strategy for relevant product categories including close cooperation with existing vendors/agencies and sourcing of new production facilities according to the companies sourcing strategy and strategic objectives under the supervision of relevant sr. buyer/buyer
• Prepare and maintain annual and seasonal planning per production country & vendor based on O’Neill budget/O’Neill actual sales figures and vendor capacities under the supervision of relevant sr. buyer/buyer
• Prepare/maintain retail price structure, fix FOB targets, collect supplier pricing info incl. up-charges and report gross margin to division manager under the supervision of relevant sr. buyer/buyer
• Set up and finalize buying schedule (per production country/supplier)/price confirmation sheet and manage purchase orders to achieve demanded ETD’s with minimized freight costs under the supervision of relevant sr. buyer/buyer
• Monitor BOM – check maintenance of style information of all relevant parties in PDM/ERP system and maintain all buying related information incl. FOB, lead time and delivery dates within given time frame
• Maintain close communication with agencies and suppliers concerning FOB prices, lead time, capacity and minima. Negotiate and finalize all product and buying related issues accordingly incl. renegotiation of the FOBs based on production quantity and monitoring supplier confirmation under the supervision of relevant sr. buyer/buyer
• Follow up on deliveries - check delivery inbound and outbound in close cooperation with logistics and supply immediate information about any delivery delays to PU management under the supervision of relevant sr. buyer/buyer
